NEWS AND STUFF

The Greenbelt is working with PennDOT and Susquehanna Township on a re-route of trail along Linglestown Rd. Instead of exiting Linglestown Rd. on to 6th Street, trail users will come on to Kaby Street. This will be MUCH safter for both trail users, and drivers on 6th Street than the blind corder at the intersection of Linglestown Rd. and 6th Street. Thanks to PennDOT and Susquehanna Township. Stay Tuned !!

Construction is complete on a new section of trail to relocate the path off of Industrial Road !! Thanks to a grant awarded to the City of Harrisburg from PennDOT and DCNR, the Greenbelt will now be a safer place to be. Instead of going out on to Industrial road when exiting the Fire School at HACC, the path under construction will allow pedestrians and cyclists to bypass the roadway completely. A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony celebrating this new section will be held on Friday Sept. 5th, 2008 at noon ! See you there !

Greenbelt T-shirts may be purchased at Wildwood Lake Nature Center and are available now.
