DESCRIPTION:The Capital Area Greenbelt Association is proud to announce the 19th annual Tour de Belt will be held Sunday\, June 2\, 2019. Save the date and plan to be part of a fun event that includes riding bikes\, sightseeing\, and nature in Central Pennsylvania. The ride follows a the 20 mile Greenbelt – a century-old system of parks and open spaces. DESCRIPTION:In celebration of Earth Day\, we have over 20 miles of Greenbelt that could use some spring cleaning! On April 13\, we are partnering with the Great Harrisburg Litter Cleanup to do additional Greenbelt cleanup. We currently have a team of volunteers from the Harrisburg Area Road Runners Club and the River Runners that will focus their efforts on trash removal along Industrial Road\, from the HACC parking lots to Wildwood Park. The Great Harrisburg Litter Cleanup is from 9am -1pm. SUMMARY:First Sunday Greenbelt Ride
DESCRIPTION:This ride is sponsored by the Harrisburg Bicycle Club but non-bicycle club members are invited to ride. Helmets required. \nThe ride begins at the trail head off Derry Street behind the City Line Diner.  The trail is 18+ miles long.  No rider is left behind.  The pace is advertised as avg 10 mph.  Riding with a group is usually safer than riding along.  Learn the route with a leader. \nMost but not all of the Greenbelt is now paved with new safety features at intersections.
